Rozgar Mela: PM Modi will give big gift to youth on Diwali, 75000 will get jobs, employment fair will start from Saturday

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to give a big gift to the youth of the country on the occasion of Diwali. PM Modi will launch the recruitment drive for 10 lakh personnel on Saturday. This campaign has been named ‘Rozgar Mela’. During this, the Prime Minister will hand over appointment letters to 75,000 newly recruited youth. The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) gave this information in a statement on Thursday. According to him, the Prime Minister will also address the youth through video conference. The PMO said that this would be an important step towards fulfilling Prime Minister Modi’s commitment of providing employment opportunities for youth and ensuring welfare of citizens.

In June this year, the Prime Minister had directed various ministries and departments of the government to recruit 10 lakh posts through mission mode. The Prime Minister gave this direction after reviewing the human resource situation in all government departments and ministries. The PMO said that as per the instructions of the Prime Minister, all the Ministries and Departments are working in mission mode to fill the existing vacancies against the sanctioned posts. The new personnel selected from across the country will be posted in 38 Ministries and Departments of the Government of India. The newly recruited personnel will join the government at various levels. For example, Group-A, Group-B (Gazetted), Group-B (Non-gazetted) and Group-C.

The PMO said that the posts for which the appointments are being made include Central Armed Forces Personnel, Sub Inspector, Constable, LDC, Steno, PA, Income Tax Inspector, MTS and others. The PMO said that these appointments are being made by the Ministries and Departments either on their own or through the appointing agencies in a mission mode. These agencies include Union Public Service Commission, Staff Selection Commission and Railway Recruitment Board. The PMO informed that the selection procedures have been simplified and made technically efficient for faster recruitment.
