There is no direct recruitment for the post of RTO. First of all the appointment is done on the post of ARTO. After a few years of service, one gets appointment on the post of RTO through promotion. ARTO’s are recruited through the State Service Commission. For this, first of all one has to pass preliminary examination, medical/fitness test and interview.
Who can be recruited on the post of RTO
For recruitment to the post of RTO, first of all, one should have a bachelor’s degree i.e. graduate in any stream. Also, the age should be minimum 21 years and maximum 30 years. However, the maximum age limit is 33 years for OBC and 37 years for SC-ST.
How much salary does RTO get
The pay scale of RTO is Rs 15600-39100. Although many types of allowances are added to it. RTO officer is a B grade job in government jobs.
