Sanjay Raut met Nadda at midnight and Uddhav met Fadnavis, plan to change sides: Claim

There is speculation of a meeting between Bharatiya Janata Party and Shiv Sena (UBT) leaders in Maharashtra. Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi has claimed that a meeting has taken place between Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Uddhav Thackeray. The party has also claimed that Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut had also met BJP Chief Jagat Prakash Nadda in Delhi. However, both the parties have not said anything officially regarding this.

A video message has been issued by VBA chief spokesperson Siddharth Moakle. Mokle claims that Raut had met Nadda at ‘7 D Motilal Marg’ on July 25 at ‘2 am’. He said, ‘After this, at 12 midnight on August 5, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis went to Matoshree Bungalow. He went alone. The meeting between the two lasted for 2 hours.

He said, ‘After this, on August 6, Thackeray went to Delhi.’ Mokale says that Thackeray should clarify who was with him during his visit to Delhi and whom he met there. A VBA spokesperson says, ‘We are putting the information we have received before the public. The reason behind this is that the reservationist voters in the state know that BJP and its allies are against reservation, but these reservationist voters have voted for Shiv Sena candidates and Uddhav Thackeray.

He said that considering the political activities of last 5 years, if any adverse incidents happen in the state tomorrow, we are sharing this information so that the reservation voters do not feel cheated.

The special thing is that the claim has been made by VBA at a time when preparations for the assembly elections are going on in the state. Shiv Sena-BJP and NCP i.e. Nationalist Congress Party led by Deputy CM Ajit Pawar are claiming that the seat sharing formula will be decided soon. There were earlier reports that VBA might join the opposition alliance, but this did not happen.
