Saurabh Bhardwaj’s stature has increased further in the new government of Delhi. He took oath after Chief Minister Atishi. In the distribution of departments late in the evening, two new departments have been added to Saurabh’s share along with the old departments. There has been no increase in the departments of other ministers.

When the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government was formed in the year 2020, Atishi and Saurabh did not get a chance to become ministers. When the ministerial posts became vacant after Satyendra Jain and Manish Sisodia went to jail, they were given responsibility. Atishi was given the responsibility of many important departments.

Now he has been given the post of CM. Saurabh Bhardwaj has also been promoted in the new government. Its effect was visible in the swearing-in ceremony itself. After Atishi took oath as Chief Minister, Bhardwaj took oath second. Some time after the swearing-in, Chief Minister Atishi divided the departments. Bhardwaj has been given two new departments as Social Welfare and Cooperation. He was already handling Health, Urban Development, Industry, Art and Culture, Tourism and Irrigation and Flood Control. These departments will remain with him.

Bhardwaj took over charge late in the evening. Saurabh Bhardwaj is the first minister of the Aam Aadmi Party government to take charge. After the Asha Kiran Home case, the responsibility of the Social Welfare Department has increased. By giving this department to Saurabh, the government has shown its seriousness on this.

Stood with Aam Aadmi Party in every crisis

Saurabh Bhardwaj, who has been winning the MLA seat from Greater Kailash for the third time, was made a minister for the second time by the party in March 2023. Before that, he was also a minister in the 49-day government in 2013. Apart from being a software engineer, he has also studied LLB. He is associated with the India Against Corruption Movement. Apart from being a good speaker, he has stood with the party in every crisis. He is among the trusted leaders of the top leadership.
