Priyanka Vishnoi, Assistant Collector of Jodhpur in Rajasthan, has died during treatment. She was ill and was admitted to a hospital in Ahmedabad. Recently, the collector of Jodhpur had formed a committee to look into the matter of negligence in treatment. But Priyanka Vishnoi died even before the committee’s report came. There are allegations of negligence in her treatment through conspiracy.
Priyanka Bishnoi was recently transferred as Municipal Corporation Deputy Commissioner on 1 September. On 5 September, she was admitted to Vasundhara Hospital in the city for surgery, but her health deteriorated due to complications after the surgery. Due to which she was referred to Ahmedabad on 7 September. She died there on Wednesday night. On the death of Priyanka Vishnoi, everyone including the Vishnoi community has paid tribute to her on social media platforms. Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma has also expressed grief over the death of Priyanka Vishnoi.
Priyanka Bishnoi belonged to a simple family. She was selected for RAS in 2016. The officer coming from a rural background had very quickly made a place in the hearts of the people in her field. Priyanka Bishnoi was honored on 15 August for her commendable work. Vishnoi Mahasabha President Devendra Bishnoi has demanded a CBI inquiry into Priyanka’s death.
Priyanka Vishnoi, a 2016 batch officer, was a resident of Nokha in Bikaner. Her father is a lawyer. She is married to Vikram Vishnoi, a resident of Surpura in Phalodi district, who is an excise officer. While her father-in-law Sahiram Vishnoi has been a police officer. Priyanka’s last rites will be performed today.
Priyanka’s father-in-law Sahiram Bishnoi had written a letter to the collector alleging negligence in treatment at the private hospital in Jodhpur and requested for an inquiry. On which the collector had directed the medical college to investigate.
Principal Dr. Bharti Saraswat said that an investigation committee has been formed. The report is expected to be received today after investigation in three days.
