Seeing the respect for women in Sanatan, Mehnaz became Meenakshi, children are ‘Luv-Kush’; was unhappy with her husband

In Mandsaur district of Madhya Pradesh, a Muslim woman, troubled by her husband’s torture, converted to Hinduism along with her two children. Expressing her unwavering faith in Hinduism, the woman has named her sons Luv-Kush. She herself will now be known as Meenakshi instead of Mehnaz B. Her two sons have been named Luv and Kush. It is said that the Muslim woman has decided to join Hinduism in view of the respect for women in the Sanatan tradition.

In Mandsaur district, a Muslim woman joined Hinduism along with her two sons. It is said that 30-year-old Mehnaz, a resident of village Dhamanar, along with her two sons aged 12 and 11, came back to Hinduism on Wednesday after purification at Gayatri Temple in Mandsaur. After coming back home, Mehnaz’s name has been changed to Meenakshi and the two children have been named Luv and Kush. Meenakshi told that she was harassed by her family. She said that she used to see on YouTube and other places that women are respected in Sanatan Dharma. They are given respect in the family. Influenced by this, she contacted people from Hindu organisations and adopted Sanatan Dharma.

According to the information, Mehnaz Bi was married to Irfan Khan of Dhanmar 15 years ago. Mehnaz’s father Abdul Rashid is a farmer. Everything was fine in the beginning, but after this, the behavior of the husband as well as the mother-in-law and father-in-law changed. They started beating each other over small matters. They used to abuse and raise their hands over small matters. When she told her father about this, he said that this is your family matter.

On Wednesday late evening, after about one and a half hour of chanting, all of them were named. During this, the woman and her two sons were bathed with milk, curd, honey, Ganga water, cow urine and cow dung with Vedic chanting in the Gayatri temple. Both the sons adopted Sanatan Dharma by performing Puja and Aarti with their mother as per rituals.

After adopting Sanatan Dharma, Meenakshi told that it has been about 15 years since her marriage. Ever since marriage, her husband used to beat her and misbehave with her. She was not even given respect in the family. Whereas in Hindu religion, women are respected and honoured. She was very impressed by this.

Hindu Yuva Vahini’s state in-charge Chaitanya Singh Rajput said that about two to three months ago Mehnaz had contacted for Ghar Wapsi. After this, after completing all the legal procedures, Mehnaz and her two sons were brought back to Gayatri Parivar Mandir. Meenakshi and her two sons Luv and Kush are very happy after returning home. Rajput said that till now they have brought back 40 women, 5 men and two children by following all the legal procedures. All those who have returned home are living a happy life.
