Maharashtra Police has rescued a one-year-old girl kidnapped from the pavement four days ago in Santacruz area of ​​Mumbai from the clutches of smugglers and two women have been arrested in this case. Officials gave this information on Thursday. The women were allegedly trying to sell the girl child in Telangana. He told that the girl was rescued from Solapur railway station in South Maharashtra on Wednesday. According to the police, the girl’s mother slept by tying her to herself before sleeping on the pavement, but the accused opened the bond and took the girl with him.

Mumbai Police Commissioner Vivek Fansalkar said that the girl was abducted from the footpath of Juhu Tara Road near SNDT College on the night of October 30 when she was sleeping with her 21-year-old mother. Later, the mother realized that the girl was missing and started searching for her along with others, he said. “The woman later went to the local police station and lodged a complaint of kidnapping of the girl,” the top police officer said. He said that investigation was started by registering an FIR against unknown persons under Section-363 of the Indian Penal Code at Santacruz police station.

Fansalkar said that Unit-9 of the Crime Branch also started parallel investigation and two teams were formed to trace the girl. Another police officer said, “In view of the incidents of children missing from the footpath in the city, the complainant woman used to sleep with the girl tied with a rope, but the accused woman escaped with the girl by opening the rope.” He said that the police went through the picture of CCTV cameras installed in the area and put the picture of the suspect woman who was carrying the child in the area. He said that some informers identified the woman and informed the police.

Location found from mobile phone, women caught at Solapur station

The official said that information was received that the woman had gone to Telangana with the kidnapped girl, after which her mobile phone was monitored with the help of technology and information was received that she was returning to Solapur. He told that after this two teams were dispatched and the help of Railway Protection Force was sought. “When both the women came to Solapur station on Wednesday, the RPF team and Mumbai crime branch team caught both of them along with the girl,” the official said. During interrogation, it was found that she had gone to Telangana to sell the girl but returned due to cancellation of the deal.
