Today’s Weather Update: The weather remained dry in most parts of the country. Thunk has started knocking in the hilly areas. A drop in temperature has also been recorded. Cold winds are blowing especially in the morning and evening. Pictures of snowfall have also started appearing on high altitude areas. The Meteorological Department has issued a snowfall warning for many areas of Jammu and Kashmir during the first week of November.
Northeast Monsoon rains have started in adjoining areas of Coastal Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, South Coastal Andhra Pradesh with winds blowing over Bay of Bengal and South Peninsular India. A cyclonic circulation lies over South-West Bay of Bengal and adjoining Sri Lanka. A fresh Western Disturbance will affect the Western Himalayas from today (October 31) night.
Chances of snowfall in hilly states
Light to moderate rain at one or two places very likely over South Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Coastal Tamil Nadu and Andaman & Nicobar Islands during the next 24 hours. Light to moderate rain may occur over many parts of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala. Also, there will be light rain and snow in some parts of Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh. Chances of snowfall will increase in hilly states.
Weather will remain dry in UP
Meteorological Center Lucknow said that at present the weather is likely to remain dry in Uttar Pradesh. There will be no significant change in temperature. There will be a gradual increase in winter in the state in the morning and evening and at night. These days the sky is also clearly visible here. At the same time, air pollution has increased in UP for the last few days and is being recorded in ‘moderate’ to ‘poor’ category in different districts.
Pollution rising in Delhi-NCR
The AQI of Delhi and NCR may remain in the very poor to severe category. In many areas of Delhi, the air level is close to reaching serious condition from very poor condition. In view of pollution, now all types of construction activities will be banned in NCR except for essential projects.
Rajasthan Weather Updates
In Rajasthan, the weather will remain dry for a few days now. According to the Meteorological Center Jaipur (Mausam Kendra Jaipur), at present the minimum and maximum temperatures are being recorded around the average in most parts of the state. The weather will remain dry in the state for the next one week. The temperature will drop further in the coming days.
