Someone runs coaching, someone is a lecturer in the university, the horoscope of those 9 masterminds of PFI who were arrested

New DelhiThe Center on Tuesday night issued a gazette notification banning the ‘Popular Front of India’ (PFI) under stringent provisions of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. Its top leaders and office bearers have been arrested this month in raids across the country. There are a total of 9 names associated with this organization. See which leaders and officials are those who have been arrested after raiding-

Information about some of which are as follows:

1. O. M.A. Salam, PFI President
Salam, an employee of the Kerala State Electricity Board, has been suspended. A departmental inquiry is underway against Salam due to his links with the PFI. Salaam also has links with Rehab India Foundation.

2. Anees Ahmed, National General Secretary
Ahmed studied in Bangalore. He has been instrumental in increasing the cyber activities and presence of PFI. He was working for a global telecommunications company, which had recently suspended him. Various investigative agencies found him “very active” in commenting/reacting on current issues on social media, news channels. He was seen vociferously criticizing the policies and governance of the central government.

3. P. Koya, National Executive Council Member
An active member of the banned organization ‘Student Islamic Movement of India’ (SIMI), Koya worked as a lecturer at Kozhikode University in Kerala. Prior to that, Koya worked for three years in a private company in Qatar from 1986. Various probe agencies say that Koya acted as the director of Islamic Youth Center (IYC), Kozhikode, which “actually propagates an ideology that promotes Islamic fundamentalism and Muslim extremism.”

4. E. M. Abdur Rahiman, National Vice President
Rahiman is a retired librarian from the Cochin University of Science and Technology located in the Ernakulam district of Kerala. He has been the President of SIMI. Various federal agencies say that he is a very influential leader of the PFI and a key role in decision making.

5. Afsar Pasha, National Secretary
Pasha is a businessman and has been an active member of PFI since its formation in 2006.

6. Abdul Wahit Sait, Member of the National Executive Council
Sait Shivajinagar belongs to the Kutchi Memon community living in Shivajinagar, Bengaluru. He is a “founding member” of the Radical Islamic Organization (PFI) and runs a software venture.

7. Mohd Shakib alias Shakif, National Secretary (Media & Public Relations)
Shakib is a founding member of PFI. He owns a real estate business.

8. Minarul Sheikh, President, PFI West Bengal
Sheikh holds a PhD degree from Aligarh Muslim University. He conducts coaching classes and does research work.

9. Mohammad Asif, President, PFI Rajasthan
Asif joined the Campus Front of India (CFI) during his graduation and became its national general secretary. He was appointed as the vice-president of the state unit of PFI in 2013-14. Various investigative agencies say that Asif tried to spread the organization across the state.
