In Gujarat, a son has killed his own mother. Not only this, he also shared his mother’s picture on the social media platform X and then apologized. The case is being reported from Rajkot where the son strangled his mother to death. After this, he also shared a photo on Instagram with his mother’s dead body. The case was revealed when a local resident nearby informed the police about this. On receiving the information, the police immediately reached the spot and saw that the accused Nilesh Gosai was sitting near his mother’s body in Bhagat Singhji Garden on University Road.
According to India Today’s report, the woman has been identified as 48-year-old Jyotiben Gosain. When the police questioned Nilesh, he soon confessed his crime. He said that he first tried to attack his mother with a knife. When Jyotiben managed to snatch the knife, Nilesh strangled her with a blanket.
After killing his mother, he posted a photo of his mother on Instagram and captioned it, “Forgive me Maa, I killed you, I miss you, Om Shanti.” In another post, he wrote, “I am killing my mother, losing her life, sorry Maa, Om Shanti, miss you Maa.” According to initial investigations, Jyotiben had been suffering from severe mental illness for years, which led to frequent arguments and physical fights with her son.
The matter escalated while arguing
According to reports, on the day of the incident, Nilesh and his mother had an argument over something which later turned violent. Jyotiben’s marriage had ended 20 years ago and she was living with Nilesh. An official said that she was undergoing treatment for mental health but had stopped taking medication a month before the incident, which worsened her condition.
