Story-Go: Barack Obama… Not Black, Call Him America’s First White President!

tale-go Is there any time to tell stories and listen? Maybe it would have happened. Or would it not happen. But one thing definitely happens. Tales, stories are interesting to everyone. It would be better if they were present on time. If it is not, it is of the past, even then it is not bad. Because they always go not only by telling us something, but also by teaching. Brings back memories of our times. Even after sweetening the spices from serious, they drink it softly. That is why ‘Dastaan-Go’ has started, the process of bringing interesting stories to your loved ones. Will try to continue this process. Monday to Friday, everyday…

Sir, Don’t go by the color of the skin. Because even the ‘whites’ sometimes look black. And those who are called ‘black’ are found to be ‘white’ by race. So, consider that aspect that connects with Barack Obama. What is white, is white, is white. Which had emerged on the face of the world today i.e. on 4th November only after destroying all the darkness. The year was 2008, when it was decided with the election victory that the name of Barack Hussein Obama was being added to the date of the world’s ‘most powerful country’ as ‘the first black president’, by race. However, in terms of achievement, would it be wrong to call him ‘America’s first white president’? Certainly not. Because how big his achievement was, it can be gauged from this that in the year 2009, when the year was not even completed, Obama was announced to give him the Nobel Prize. However, even for Obama, it was a shocking issue.

The BBC wrote a report in September 2015, Sir. Gere Luneshta, who was on the committee that decided to award the Nobel Prize to Obama, admitted in it, “The committee chose Obama for the award with the hope that it would improve his image in America.” This will increase the fortune of a particular class’. However, according to Luneshta, ‘Obama himself had said that he was surprised to receive this award. Some of his supporters had even thought that maybe some mistake had happened. That is why Obama probably thought that he should not go to the Norwegian capital Oslo to receive the award. But people in the White House soon realized that Obama should go to Oslo. Because this has happened on very few occasions, when the person receiving the award has not come there to receive it. However, the debate is still going on whether he was right to get the award or not.

But what about America, there is no debate in any corner of the world that what Obama achieved in 2008 was huge. Because he did this feat in that country, where there is a long history of ‘fight of the black and white race’. Where, in January 2021, thousands of people stormed the building, which is called the Parliament there, in the form of a crowd on ‘someone’s racial provocation’. Where, every now and then, the ‘special race’ continues to prove that Barack Obama was ‘not America’s first black president’. Rather, it was John Hanson. Whereas in February-2020, ‘USA Today’ proved through investigation that this claim is false. John Hanson, whose picture is being shared as the ‘first black president’, was, in fact, a Liberian-born senator (a member of the US upper house, such as the Rajya Sabha), sometime in the tenth of the 1850s.

In such a situation, one can only imagine what kind of difficulty Obama must have faced in achieving this position. He has written three books revealing all aspects of his life. In these, the first ‘Dreams from My Father’, the second ‘The Audacity of Hope’ and the third ‘A Promised Land’. This third book has come only two years ago in 2020 itself. Obama’s wife Michelle also has a book, ‘Becoming’, which came out in 2018. There are many things in it too, which tell the story of ‘Black Obama’ becoming ‘White Revolution’ or ‘White Revolution’. Out of these, Obama’s first book tells the story of when he faced step-by-step racial attacks, from childhood to youth. Even those friends whom he considered to be his best friend, did not hesitate to make remarks on him when he had the opportunity.

One such incident he shared in a podcast series ‘Renegades Born in the USA’. Now everyone must know this podcast, there is a radio running on the internet. On this, programs come in the form of serials. They are called series in the new language. So, in that ‘series’ Obama had said, ‘I used to have a dear friend. When I used to study in school, we often stayed together. Used to play basketball together. But then once during the game we got into a fight. After that, when we came to the locker room to change clothes, he angrily made racist comments on me. He probably didn’t even know the meaning of what he had said. But I knew. I expressed displeasure. Told him to apologize. But when he didn’t apologize, I also got angry. I broke his nose by punching him.

But the issue was not only that, sir. Let go of childish things, when they grew up, they found the way more difficult. Obama himself has told another incident, ‘The matter is from 1999. I contested the Congress (US Parliament) election for the first time then. But the ‘racial division’ became so much that I had to face defeat. Whereas till then I had been a member of the state assembly for a long time. That defeat shook me. I was 40 years old then. I spent a lot of my time in such work, the results of which were not visible. My mind was terribly confused. At that time, once in a while I also thought that why not leave this path (politics). But then I explained myself that no, it is not only about my success or success. My aim is my goal. I have to go to work for that.

Barack Obama

So, Obama went on working for his cause. And what was the purpose? Further we know from them, ‘I was constantly trying to reach Parliament. But success was far away from me. Due to this wife Michelle also started getting frustrated. By January 2005, both of us had almost decided to make one last attempt. If successful, it is fine, otherwise now you will be away from politics forever. Will find some other way to serve the people. Then according to this intention, I contested the Senate election. But this time I won. I got about 70 percent of the votes and I took oath as a member of the Senate on January 3, 2005. This boosted my spirits and I seriously made up my mind to enter the presidential election. Because that was the only means through which I could, in the end, achieve my purpose of life.

‘However, my wife Michelle was not ready to contest the presidential election. I don’t know why, but she was scared. He stopped me. Then I told him only this thing – I do not claim that my position in this highest position is very important for the fight for freedom and justice. I am not running away from the responsibility that by taking this big step, I am going to put a burden on my family. But I don’t know why I feel that if I am successful in this plan, then my success will become a big example. I think, rather, I know that the day I raise my right hand to take the oath of office, the world will see America in a different light. I know that from that day on, black children, Hispanic children or children who do not fit in with their social status will see themselves differently.

‘All children like me will begin to see the way to reach ‘Arsh’ from the floor. Their horizons will rise up. Their scope of possibilities will increase. Their hopes will get wings. Just this thread of my hard work will be enough for me. And look no man, Barack Hussein Obama has shown the world not once but twice, the truth of these lines written by Dushyant Kumar, ‘How can there not be an eye in the sky, throw a stone with your health, friend’.

That’s all for today. God Hafiz.
