The Supreme Court has given a big decision on Tuesday in the Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi and Shahi Idgah Mosque dispute case located in Mathura. The Supreme Court has stayed the order of the Allahabad High Court appointing a commissioner to inspect or survey the mosque in connection with the Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi-Shahi Idgah Mosque dispute in Mathura. Along with this, the court has also issued many more instructions.
Permission granted in this case
The Supreme Court has sought response from Hindu organization ‘Bhagwan Shri Krishna Virajman’ and others on the mosque committee’s petition against the High Court order on the survey of Shahi Eidgah. Also, the court allowed the cases related to the dispute regarding shifting of Shahi Masjid Idgah in Mathura to continue hearing in Allahabad High Court.
The case was not stayed
Advocate Reena N Singh, representing Lord Shri Krishna Lalla Virajman, said that today the court heard the survey order of the Allahabad High Court case, which was challenged by the Muslim side. The Intejamia Committee had challenged the order and today the Supreme Court has only stayed the survey order. But the court has not stayed the case. The case will continue in Allahabad High Court, the next date of hearing is on January 23.
What is the whole matter?
The petitioners from the Hindu side claim that the Shahi Idgah Mosque is built on the birthplace of Lord Krishna. He says that there are many Hindu symbols in the mosque which clearly shows that the mosque has been built at a Hindu religious place. Therefore there is a need to gather facts. Last year, on December 12, the Allahabad High Court had accepted the demand for conducting the survey and ordered the appointment of a commissioner for it. However, the Supreme Court has now put a stay on this decision.
