New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Wednesday ordered Ajit Pawar faction’s NCP to publish a disclaimer with the clock election symbol in major newspapers within 36 hours. It should also be published especially in Marathi newspapers. The court has asked Ajit Pawar faction to file an affidavit of compliance report. The next hearing of the case will be on November 13.
Ajit Pawar group gave this information to the court
Ajit Pawar’s lawyer told the Supreme Court that we have filed our undertaking that we are following the previous orders of the court. We have also filed its photo. Despite all this, we are advertising in newspapers with the new undertaking. On this the court said that why is it taking so much time to publish the disclaimer in the newspaper. In response, Ajit Pawar’s lawyer alleged that Sharad Pawar’s faction has given false statements to the court. There has not been a single incident of non-compliance of court orders.
Sharad Pawar group made this allegation
Sharad Pawar’s lawyer said that Ajit Pawar’s group has removed the videos. But what is happening at the ground level is that people associated with Ajit Pawar are showing videos of Sharad Pawar. There is a clock in it. Their National Working President has said yesterday that nothing will happen in the court. We will fight on the clock.
Supreme Court gave this order to Ajit group
The Supreme Court said that we allowed them (Ajit Pawar faction) to use the election symbol, but it is subject to certain conditions. Within 24 hours, or maximum 36 hours, Ajit Pawar faction should publish a disclaimer in the newspapers. Sharad Pawar group’s lawyer Abhishek Manu Singhvi said that the previous order of the court is being disregarded every day. Ajit group keeps saying that Sharad Pawar is our God. This violation is happening again and again. Sharad Pawar’s name with clock symbol creates confusion.
