American soldiers signed the dome
Actually, the picture given below is from the year 1940. The repair work of the Taj Mahal was done that year. For this purpose, courageous American soldiers reached the upper part of the Taj Mahal. There was some damage to the upper part of the dome on the top of the Taj Mahal. American soldiers were hired to repair it. For repairs, American soldiers had to climb a height of 250 feet. The names of the two American soldiers seen in the photo are Anthony J. Scopeliti (Corporal Anthony J. Scopeliti) (left in photo) and John C. Byron Jr. (John C. Byron, Jr.) (right in photo). After completing the repair work, both of them also signed their own there. Not only this, the names of other 93 American soldiers are also inscribed on the Taj Mahal. All of them have signed their own.


Taj Mahal is the seventh wonder of the world

Keep in mind that the name of this Taj Mahal located in Agra, Uttar Pradesh is recorded as the seventh wonder of the world. The Taj Mahal was also declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983. The Taj Mahal is located on the south bank of the Yamuna River in Agra. It was started in 1632 AD by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan as the tomb of his wife Mumtaz Mahal. The work of the tomb was completed in 1643. The entire complex of the Taj Mahal is believed to have been completed in 1653 at an estimated cost of around Rs 3.20 crore. It is said that about 20,000 artisans got employment in this. It is considered by many to be the best example of Mughal architecture and a symbol of India’s rich history. Every year on an average 70 to 8 million people from all over the world come to see the Taj Mahal.
