Tamil Nadu government should make medical-engineering studies in Tamil language: Home Minister Amit Shah

Chennai. Union Home Minister Amit Shah talked about making engineering and medical education available in the mother tongue. He said that if Tamil Nadu government is doing this then it is a great contribution to the language. Shah was addressing the Platinum Jubilee celebrations of cement major India Cements Ltd on Saturday. He said that medical and engineering education should be in Tamil and the state government should take the initiative. It will be easy for students to study in mother tongue. Along with this, he will also be able to do research in his own language.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that Tamil is the oldest language. The whole country is proud of this. On this occasion, Shah also discussed about the Defense Corridor. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is focusing on Tamil Nadu. Tax devolution for central and state grants has increased manifold in the last eight years.

Shah remembered old things
Shah said that if a company has been in existence for 75 years, it shows that it is a leader in the segment. He praised N Srinivasan, Vice Chairman and Managing Director, India Cements for taking the company to the top. He recalled the old things that when Srinivasan was heading the All India Chess Federation (AICF), he was the president of the Gujarat State Chess Federation. Shah was an office-bearer of the Gujarat Cricket Association when Srinivasan was the President of the BCCI.

India’s economy is growing rapidly
Apart from this, Union Minister Shah also talked about India’s economy. He said that India is moving fast towards becoming a $5 trillion economy. He cited a statement from the Morgan Stanley financial firm. The firm had said that India would become the world’s third largest economy by 2027. Meanwhile, Shah also discussed the political stability of the country. He said that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has said that India is a star shining in the dark horizon.
