New Delhi: Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur extended warm greetings to the media fraternity on the occasion of National Press Day on Wednesday.
“It is a day to reaffirm our collective commitment to responsible journalism without fear or favour,” Thakur said in a tweet.
“I expect the media to play an increasingly constructive role in our democracy,” the minister said.

Sharing a quote from Mahatma Gandhi – “Freedom of the press is a priceless privilege that no country can give up” – Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge greeted members of the press and media.
