Sadhvi Ritambhara while talking about the Ram Mandir movement said that the government of that time had made us criminals. We had to face lathicharge to enthrone our Ramlala in Ayodhya. Hundreds of Karsevaks sacrificed their lives. The then government tied stones to the dead bodies of the kar sevaks and drowned them in the Saryu river. The dead bodies were tied with cotton sacks and drowned in the Saryu river.
‘We were treated like murderers’
Thousands of Karsevaks were put in jail. We were treated like murderers. Some politicians and political parties called Lord Ram imaginary. But when times changed, the entire scenario changed. The public has rejected those who called Ram imaginary and those who fired bullets and lathicharge on Kar Sevaks. Now those people have also started worshiping in the temple and calling themselves Hindus.
