The bombs that killed Nasrallah were made in America, detonated with a 900 kg bunker-buster

Israel has created a stir in the whole world by killing Hezbollah Chief Hassan Nasrallah. In the last 7 days, Israel has eliminated 7 top Hezbollah officials and is still continuously attacking Hezbollah targets in Lebanon. Now new revelations have come regarding Nasrallah’s death. The bombs used by Israel in the airstrike in Beirut were made in the US. An American official has told what type of bomb was used for these attacks and what is America’s future strategy in this regard.

Reuters has given this information citing an American senator. According to Mark Kelly, chairman of the Senate Armed Services Airland Subcommittee, Israel used a 900-kg Mark 84 series bomb in the attack. He is also known as bunker-buster. He said, “These weapons will be used in the future and we are continuing to export those weapons. The 2,000-pound bomb that was used to eliminate Nasrallah was a Mark 84 series bomb.”

America was not aware of the attack

JDAMs use their technology and GPS system to transform an ordinary unguided bomb into a guided weapon. The closeness between America and Israel is well known. America has increased the supply of weapons to Israel after the conflict in Gaza started. However, according to the White House, Israel did not give them any advance information about the airstrike that killed Nasrallah in Beirut and US President Joe Biden came to know about it only after full preparations were made for the attack.

Israel killed 7 Hezbollah commanders in a week

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have recently stepped up their attacks on Lebanon and have killed at least seven Hezbollah commanders in a week. The Iran-backed militant group also confirmed the killing of Nabil Kouk, deputy head of its Central Council, a day after Nasrallah was killed in an Israeli airstrike in Beirut. The group also said that another senior commander, Ali Karaki, was also killed in the attack. Other Hezbollah commanders killed in the attacks included Ibrahim Akil, Ahmed Wehbe, Mohammed Surour and Ibrahim Kobeissi. Meanwhile, Israel on Sunday bombed Hezbollah positions in Lebanon, killing more than 100 people in a single day. According to Lebanon’s Health Ministry, 105 people died in the attack and 359 people were injured.
