In Bihar’s Jamui district, a young man was duped of Rs 2 lakhs in the name of making him a police officer. The young man did not get the job, but he was definitely given a uniform. That too of an IPS. Wearing which the young man first roamed around his village and then the city. The fraud also gave him a fake pistol. On Friday, the Sikandra police arrested the suspect who was roaming around posing as a fake IPS officer.

The young man was roaming around wearing the uniform of a trainee IPS officer. Someone informed the Sikandra police about this. After this, the police took the young man into custody and took him to the police station. He is being questioned there. A pistol has also been recovered from the arrested fake IPS officer. However, during investigation, the pistol was also found to be fake.

During interrogation, the fake IPS officer was identified as Mithilesh Kumar, 18-year-old son of Bhaglu Manjhi, resident of Govardhanbigha village of Halsi police station area of ​​Lakhisarai. Mithilesh Kumar told the police that a few months ago he met a person from Khaira. He lured him to make him a police officer for Rs 2 lakh.

After this, he was also given two lakh rupees last month. Mithilesh Manjhi told that after taking the money, the person called him to Khaira on Friday morning where he brought a police uniform for him in a government school. From there Mithilesh Manjhi went to his home wearing the uniform. There he roamed around the whole village wearing the IPS uniform. After this he reached Sikandra by bike wearing the uniform.

After reaching Sikandra, he was roaming on the main road outside the residence of Zila Parishad President Dulari Devi and former Legislative Council candidate Guddu Yadav located on Jamui Road. From where the police took him into custody. The police has seized his bike. During this, many documents including Aadhar card, PAN card, a cheque of two lakh twenty thousand in the name of Bhim Saav, a plain receipt of a jewelry shop were recovered from Mithilesh Manjhi. In this regard, SDPO Satish Suman said that a youth has been arrested in IPS uniform. The entire matter is being investigated.
