Delhi-NCR weather: The weather has become pleasant in the capital Delhi after rain on Thursday morning. But according to the weather department (IMD) forecast, the capital is going to be flooded again. IMD has issued an orange alert for Delhi. Officials have been asked to be prepared to deal with any emergency situation. It has been told that after light to moderate rain on Thursday morning, there is a possibility of more rain in the capital.
Alert regarding heavy rain in Delhi-NCR
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rain in different parts of Delhi and NCR, which may lead to waterlogging. After the rain, the minimum temperature of Delhi fell to 23.1 degrees Celsius. This is three degrees below normal. The sky is cloudy. This may lead to further drop in temperature, which will make the weather cool.
Strong winds of 40 KM will blow
According to the latest update of the Meteorological Department, the pressure is slowly moving from northwest Madhya Pradesh and adjoining southwest Uttar Pradesh. Its speed has been eight km per hour in the last six hours. Heavy rain is expected due to this pressure. IMD said that strong winds at the speed of 30 to 40 km per hour are expected in Delhi till Friday.
The capital will be flooded
According to the Meteorological Department, 16.3 mm of rain was recorded in Safdarjung in Delhi in the last 24 hours. During this period, 8.5 mm rain was recorded in Palam, 16 mm on Lodhi Road, 15.7 mm in Ayanagar, 13.5 mm in Pitampura and 13 mm in Mayur Vihar. Delhi has received 96.2 mm of rain so far in September. IMD said that there is a possibility of more heavy rain. This may cause waterlogging on the roads. Officials have been asked to be prepared for emergency situations.
