Bengaluru: A man living in Bengaluru, the capital of Karnataka, filed a case against the company after the color of his jeans faded. According to a report in ‘Times of India’, the Consumer Court heard the entire case and ordered fashion retailer Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited (ABFRL) to refund the entire amount of the jeans and pay Rs 1,000 as additional compensation. I give. The man alleged that the color of his jeans had faded after washing it only 5 times.

The showroom people gave this answer

Hariharan Babu AK, a resident of West Bengaluru, had bought blue jeans of Van Heusen company for Rs 4,499 from the Aditya Birla showroom located near his house in April last year. However, within three months, Hariharan reportedly found that the color of his jeans had faded after washing them just five times. When he complained at the showroom and asked for a refund, he was told that the ‘indigo dye’ used in jeans gradually loses its color when the fabric is washed, The Times of India reported.

The court gave its decision in February

Dissatisfied with the showroom’s response, Hariharan then approached the city’s Consumer Redressal Commission. The verdict of this case, which started in October last year, came in February this year. The judges of the Consumer Forum said that the company had not given instructions to the customer regarding washing clothes. The court also said that despite sending the notice, no representative of the company came, nor was the correct bill given to the customer. The court ordered the company to give a refund of Rs 4,016 and compensation of Rs 1,000 to the man for the jeans within 2 months.
