The first train passed through the track 51 hours after the Odisha accident, Railway Minister folded hands

Odisha Balasore Train Accident: After 51 hours of the gruesome train accident in Balasore, Odisha, the first train left on Sunday night at around 10.40 pm. Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav flagged off the goods train and during this time many railway officials and media persons were also present there. The goods train was going from Visakhapatnam port to Rourkela Steel Plant and left on the same track on which the accident happened last Friday.

More than 1000 workers were engaged in correcting the track
Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav tweeted, ‘The damaged down line has been completely restored. The first train left from the section. After some time, he tweeted that the movement of the train has started on the up-line as well. Let us tell you that due to the work done on war footing by more than 1,000 employees and railway officials during Saturday night and Sunday, the train service could be started once again. By Sunday evening, the debris was cleared and the track was ready for trial runs. Heavy machinery, including seven pocketing machines, a 140-tonne railway crane and four road cranes, was deployed at the accident site.
