Noida. The first trial on the Eastern Corridor Link Line of the Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation (DFCC) has been successful. Two diesel engines simultaneously sped on the link line. The team that took the trial stopped in between to take stock of the track. After taking trials from Dadri to Khurja, it was declared successful. Now trial will be done with link line electric engine till 10 September. Empty goods trains will run after 10. Due to lack of time from the PMO office, the inauguration on August 15 was postponed. It was to be inaugurated by PM Narendra Modi. Now the new date of inauguration has been fixed as 30 September. It should be noted that at present this route will work from Dadri to Allahabad.
PM can show the link line on 30 September
According to sources associated with DFCC, the work of link line from Bodaki railway station to Khurja is almost complete. All other small and big works have also been completed by taking mega block. On the other hand, the work of the main line of the Eastern Corridor has also been completed. Sources say that on September 30, PM Narendra Modi can flag off the train on the link line. About a month ago, the officers of DFCC have inspected the main line as well as the link line by sitting in the railway vehicle. Trial has also been done on the link line on 14th August.
There are 15 crossings on the 54 km link line.
According to experts, 54 km long link line has been laid from Dadri to Khurja for interchange. About 15 railway crossings have been made on the way to the link line. DFCC staff and security personnel were deployed during the trial on August 14. The speed of the engine tested near the crossing was also kept low. Also, traffic was stopped at all crossings during the trial. Two rail flyovers have been built on the way to the link line. 8 foot over bridges have been built. Along with this, 4 major bridges have also been built.
Then the work of Noida-Greater Noida Expressway stopped, know the reason
RORO service may start on Eastern-Western Corridor
The Eastern Corridor of DFCC goes up to Kolkata and the Western Corridor goes to Mumbai. Both are big corridors. There are many big business cities on both the routes. If RORO service is started successfully on the Eastern and Western Corridors, then it will also be a big step in terms of pollution. With the introduction of RORO, the number of trucks and tankers on the roads will be reduced. This will also not spread air pollution. If this happens, then Delhi-NCR will get the biggest relief from this.
If sources related to DFCC are to be believed, Roro service will be started with 45 trucks on a goods train. However, this number may increase after the arrival of double decker vehicles. It is worth mentioning that earlier, in view of Delhi’s pollution, Northern Railway had also tried Roro service. Now this will be the first time
