Police have arrested parents for selling their innocent child of just 5 days. A total of 6 people have been arrested in this case. Nagpur Police says that the child was sold to a childless couple for Rs 1.10 lakh. This case came to light during the operation of Anti-Human Trafficking Squad. Police says that apart from the parents and the buying couple, two other people have also been arrested in the case of selling the child. Both these people were playing the role of middlemen in this deal. Investigation into this case has revealed that the couple sold the child to a couple who had no children.
The couple who bought the child said that they did not want any legal process. In order to avoid this, they directly sold the child for one lakh rupees. In this case, the police have arrested the couple who bought the child along with the family who sold the child. The arrested accused have been identified as Sunil alias Dayaram Gandre and his wife Shweta. Both of them had a child, who was sold. Apart from this, the names of the couple who bought the child are Purnima Shelke and husband Dharmadas Shelke. Both families are residents of Badlapur in Thane district.
Apart from this, two middlemen have been identified as Kiran Ingle and her husband Pramod Ingle. It has been revealed that Sunil and Shweta Gandre, who sold the child, wanted money. Whereas the childless couple wanted a child. So both of them made a deal. The child was sold on 22 August. The Shelke couple paid Rs 1.10 lakh and took the child. Both of them did not want any legal process. When the information of this case reached the police, they activated the anti-human trafficking team. In this case, Nagpur Police has now registered a case under Section 75 and 81 of the Juvenile Justice Act.
