The road to Haryana is not easy for both BJP and Congress, these are the challenges before the elections

The fight in Haryana assembly elections is not easy for both the ruling BJP and the opposition Congress. BJP is facing the anti-incumbency wave of ten years, while Congress is struggling with internal strife. However, after the better performance in the Lok Sabha elections, enthusiasm is visible among the Congress workers. The party may get benefit from this in the elections.

Congress is facing many other problems. In the Lok Sabha elections, the party was successful in winning five out of ten seats, but in these elections, it was able to gain lead in only 42 out of 90 assembly seats in the state. At the same time, BJP maintained its dominance on 44 seats by winning five seats. This is four more than the 40 seats won by BJP in the 2019 elections. This is the reason that despite the claim of about thirty leaders on every seat in the assembly elections, Congress is eyeing the MLAs of other parties.

The party is also eyeing the BJP along with the three MLAs of Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) so that it can win the maximum number of seats in the election and reach the threshold of power. The magic number for victory in Haryana is 46.

Even the instructions of Kharge and Rahul have no effect

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi have given strict instructions to the state leaders to stop internal factionalism during the assembly elections, but party leaders believe that this will not have any significant impact. Because, factionalism has been there in Haryana for a long time and the party has failed to stop it. Factionalism also prevailed in the distribution of Lok Sabha tickets.

If we stay united then Congress can get success

A senior party leader said that voters in Haryana are inclined towards Congress, but unity is necessary for this. If the state Congress leaders fail to resolve their differences during the election campaign, then they may suffer losses in the elections. Because, while BJP is putting in all its strength, the opposition to BJP may get divided if Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) contests the elections alone.
