In Balidih police station area of Bokaro, Jharkhand, a 22-year-old tribal woman was kidnapped and gang-raped for three days while returning home after closing her shop. The woman who was freed from the clutches of the brutes has been admitted to Sadar Hospital for treatment, where her condition remains critical.
The woman was blindfolded and taken to an unknown place
The woman runs a shop in the industrial area. On August 15, after finishing her business in the evening, she was returning home on foot after closing the shop. During this, four masked criminals in a car kidnapped her. They blindfolded the woman and took her to a closed room where they raped her. Here they kept raping the woman for three days. After a lot of searching, the woman’s husband filed a written complaint about his wife’s disappearance on August 17. Police station in-charge Naveen Kumar Singh formed a team and began looking for the woman. The accused released the woman on the night of August 17.
Four suspects in custody
Based on the information and appearance of the victim, the police have detained four suspects and are questioning them. All four are workers working in a factory in the industrial area, who often visited the woman’s shop to consume liquor (desi). One of the suspects in custody also had an old rivalry with a family member of the victim woman.
Testing of blood samples from scratches
Balidih police has taken the help of forensic team for investigation. Blood samples found on the woman’s clothes and scratches on her body have been collected. Apart from this, medical examination has been recommended. The inspector said that the case will be taken to the fast track court along with the exhibits found in the incident, clear charge sheet, forensic and medical report. So that the culprit can be given severe punishment.
