There are more Brahmins than Kurmis, why can’t they lead; Prashant Kishor spoke openly about Muslims too

Jansuraj leader Prashant Kishor said about Bihar politics that the population of Brahmins is more than the Kursi community from which Nitish Kumar comes. So if a Kurmi leader can lead, why can’t a Brahmin do so. Regarding his Brahmin identity, he said that where is it written in the Constitution that upper castes cannot make any political effort. He said that I do not do caste politics, but some people are finding Pandey in my name. He also spoke openly about Muslims in an interview.

Prashant Kishor said, ’18 percent of the population is Muslim and their role will also be important. We have decided that 18 percent of the party officials will be Muslims. Apart from this, they will also be given a chance to get tickets and positions. PK said that we will try to give opportunities to all sections according to the population.’ PK said that our party will take a formal form on October 2. 1 crore people will come together in it. This will be the first time when 1 crore people will come forward to form a party. We are talking to different sections. We have held a meeting with Muslims. He said that our basic intention is to form a party by taking everyone along.

Prashant Kishor said about RJD’s MY equation that it does not exist. PK said that in 2014, they had 4 MPs and then in 2019 this figure was zero. Again they have got only 4 seats. Till now Muslims have been voting for them, but the reason for this is not RJD’s work but fear of BJP. Now if we talk about Muslims, after Dalits, Muslims are the most miserable. There is also panic and worry among them. They can see that they are not getting anything. Neither development has happened nor political participation. We will tell them that they should not just vote against BJP but move forward for the future of their children.

He said that a large section of people who vote for Nitish Kumar or BJP are afraid of Lalu. I tell the Muslims what the leaders you have chosen till now have done for you. The Sachchar Committee report came in 2006. BJP was not in power for long then. If we look at that report, it is clear that the Muslims did not promote the people they voted for. PK said that I will not be the leader of Jan Suraj Party. The party people will decide on the leadership.

‘I have put everything at stake for Bihar’

PK, who was an election strategist, said that I have put everything at stake for this. I have not stepped out during this time. I have come with a complete blueprint to change the situation of Bihar. He said that our campaign is to form a party like Congress before independence. In those days, the president of Congress was elected in the convention and his tenure was not more than one and a half years. At that time the number of illiterate people was more, but democracy was so much. Still people used to choose their leader. Can such a situation not happen in Bihar? We are moving ahead considering it as a model.

What did Prashant Kishor say on the comparison of Jansuraj with AAP?

On comparison with AAP, PK said that we have not emerged from a movement but from the society. PK said that nobody here claims that they will improve everything. We say that if people come together then there will be improvement. He said that we did not believe in the movement and will never believe in it. We believe in making people aware. PK said that I will try to improve Bihar through my 20 years of experience. This is not about any person, ideology or party. For this, society will have to be improved. Therefore, our entire campaign is inspired by Gandhiji.
