There was a loud sound and the whole building collapsed, a five-storey house in Delhi turned into rubble in a few minutes

On Wednesday morning, a five-storey house built on 20 square yards in Bapa Nagar area adjacent to Karol Bagh in Delhi turned into rubble in a few minutes. Four people died in the accident, while 14 people were injured. Due to the sudden collapse of the building, there was a stampede in the narrow lane of Bapa Nagar.

There was a loud noise and the whole building collapsed

People started running to save their lives. There was screaming all around. People started shouting for help. Soon a large number of people gathered there. Due to the six feet wide lane, a lot of difficulties were faced in the rescue work. Local resident Prince Gautam said that he was present in the house at the time of the accident. Then a loud sound was heard. First a small part fell. After some time the entire building collapsed.

Another building was also damaged

ADO of the fire department Ravindra Singh said that a lot of difficulties were being faced in the rescue work. There were narrow streets here, due to which the debris had to be lifted and carried by hand. Apart from this, there was no place to keep the debris nearby. He said that the adjacent building was also damaged due to the collapse of the building.

90 soldiers were engaged in rescue work

50 fire brigade employees were engaged in the rescue operation. When information was received that more people were trapped under the debris, NDRF teams were called from Dwarka and Ghaziabad. This team comprised 40 members. They had live detectors and sniffer dogs.

The condition of the injured is stable

The 11 injured people are being treated at Delhi’s Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital. Doctors say that their condition is stable.

Announcement of compensation of Rs 10 lakh to the families of the deceased

The Delhi government has announced compensation for the victims of the accident. Delhi’s next Chief Minister Atishi has announced compensation of Rs 10 lakh each for the families of the deceased and compensation for the injured according to the severity of their injuries.

Mujib’s marriage was on 30 September

Moin worked in this building with his two brothers Mukim and Mujeeb. Moin survived the accident, but both the brothers died. Moin’s brother-in-law Mohammad Suleman, who was present at Lady Harding Hospital, said that the family had arranged the marriage of 19-year-old Mujeeb. He said that his marriage was on 30 September and preparations for it were going on in the village.

There was mourning due to the death of two brothers

The building collapse in Bapa Nagar area has destroyed the dreams of many families. Mujeeb, who died in the incident, was to get married at the end of this month. Preparations were going on in the village for this. At the same time, marriage proposals were being looked for Mohsin, but after this tragic accident, there is mourning in their homes in Rampur, Uttar Pradesh. Both of them were real brothers.

Innocent Aman had come to see Delhi

12 year old Aman also died in the accident. Aman had come to Delhi to visit with his cousin Uvaid some time ago. Uvaid, who is admitted in the hospital, said that Aman was very fond of travelling. He was a student of class seven in the village school. His father Mohammad Jamin died about eight years ago. Now only his mother and elder sister are left in the house.

I was looking for a relationship for Mohsin

The investigating officer said that this building belongs to a person named Anil. Anil had leased this building to Mohsin, a resident of Rampur. Mohsin also died in this incident. Mohsin used to employ people and relatives from his village in Rampur. Wasim, who was working there, said that the family was looking for a match for Mohsin. The family had called him several times to see the girl.

Buildings collapsed at these places this year

● In April this year, a building collapsed in Kalyanpuri area of ​​East Delhi.
