There will be an airport every 200 kilometers in Bihar, Nitish told the government’s plan

In the coming time, there will be an airport within every 200 km radius in Bihar. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar made this announcement on Wednesday. The CM said that there is a plan to arrange an airport within a maximum of 200 km from any part of the state, so that the general public can get convenience. With the construction of new airports, the products of the farmers and entrepreneurs of the state will be easily transported to other parts of the country and abroad. CM Nitish also asked to work fast on the plan to develop Patna’s Bihta Airport as an international airport. He also gave instructions to complete the land acquisition work for the expansion of the airport runway quickly.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar inspected the under-construction terminal of Patna’s Jayaprakash Narayan International Airport on Wednesday. He directed the officials to complete the remaining work of Patna Airport soon. During the inspection, the Chief Minister took detailed information about the expansion work of the airport and also gave necessary guidelines. After the inspection, the CM also held a review meeting regarding the expansion of Patna Airport.

In fact, with a view to ensuring air connectivity to all the regions of the state, the capacity of the three airports of the state, Patna, Gaya, Darbhanga is currently being expanded. Apart from this, a plan is being worked on to start new airports in Purnia, Raxaul, Rajgir and Bhagalpur.

The state government will provide all possible support

CM Nitish said that the state government has acquired 52 acres of land to make Purnia airport operational, while 15 acres of land is yet to be acquired. The Airport Authority of India was requested to take possession of this land and make Purnia airport operational by constructing the necessary infrastructure soon. The state government has also assured all kinds of support in this regard.

New airports will also be built

The Airport Authority of India has also been requested to get a feasibility study done of the site identified by the state government for the construction of Rajgir green field airport. Additional land has been demanded for the expansion of the runway at Raxaul, for which work is being done at the level of the District Officer. Also, further action will be ensured for the construction of a new airport.
