There will be dry day in Delhi on Chhath, LG in tension due to foam in Yamuna, letter written to CM Kejriwal

Delhi LG Write A Letter To Kejriwal: Delhi Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena wrote a letter to Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal. In this letter, he has given guidelines to the Delhi Government regarding Chhath Puja as well as has declared Chhath (30 October) as Dry Day in Delhi.

Apart from this, LG has written a letter to Kejriwal regarding the foam in the water of Yamuna in Delhi. He has instructed the Lieutenant Governor that it is the responsibility of the Delhi government to take special care of the cleanliness of the ghats on Chhath.

Chhath Puja is happening after Kovid
The Lieutenant Governor wrote in the letter that for the first time after Corona, Chhath Puja is being organized on such a large scale, for which more than 840 Chhath Ghats have been prepared. It is a big festival, devotees gather in large numbers, so preparations should be made accordingly. It is the responsibility of the administration and there should not be any deficiency in the preparedness at any level.

Cleanliness of Ghats is the responsibility of Delhi Government
It is the responsibility of the Delhi government to take special care of cleanliness on the Chhath Ghats. Along with this, the Delhi government should also do the work of making people aware that people should not use single use plastic, take care of the environment and contribute in keeping the ghats clean.

The poisonous foam formed inside the river is a matter of concern and it is threatening the health of the devotees, it should be diagnosed. Special planning should be done for the ghats where 10,000 to 40 thousand devotees reach and all the departments should plan together.
