Apophis asteroid moving towards earth
An unwanted guest coming from the sky has put the earth to rest. Actually, we are talking about a meteorite i.e. asteroid, which is rapidly moving towards the Earth. The asteroid named ‘God of Chaos’ will fly very close to the Earth. Its distance will be quite short. This will affect both the Earth and that asteroid. This is the same Apophis asteroid, about which ISRO Chief Dr. S. Somnath had warned that this was dangerous.
A new study regarding the asteroid shows that it is moving towards colliding with the Earth, which has increased the concern of scientists. This asteroid, known as the God of Destruction, is expected to come close to the Earth in 2029. In the year 2029, this asteroid will not hit the Earth but will pass nearby. In fact, due to Earth’s gravity, Apophis’ face will be disintegrated and he will be badly hurt. Earthquake tremors will be felt. There will be landslides on its surface.
What is Apophis?
Apophis is named after the Egyptian god Apep. This deity is considered the lord of chaos there. Asteroid Apophis is 1230 feet wide. Its collision with Earth may occur in the year 2068. But before that it will pass near the Earth twice. One on 13th April 2029. Then it will emerge from a distance of only 32 thousand km from the Earth and its second journey will take place in the year 2036.
ISRO estimates that if a 1230 feet big asteroid hits the Earth, it can destroy the entire Asia. There will be mass destruction in an area of ​​about 20 km around the asteroid impact site. No population of any kind of animal will survive.
Will there be a collision with Earth or not?
According to scientists, the probability of it hitting the Earth is less than one in a million, but the risk of impact remains. Scientists say the probability of a collision is very low, but it remains one of the largest asteroids to pass so close to Earth in recent history.
Asteroids are capable of causing destruction
