Threats to bomb 30 flights of Indigo-Vistara and Air India – Hindustan News Hub

The process of receiving bomb threats in the planes of various airline companies across the country has been going on for several days. On Monday night also, 35 flights of Indigo, Vistara, Akasa and Air India received bomb threats. According to sources of news agency PTI, 30 domestic and international flights operated by Indian airlines received bomb threats. Sources associated with the case told the agency that those receiving bomb threats included flights of Indigo, Vistara, Akasa and Air India. Let us tell you that in the last 8 days, more than 120 planes have received bomb attack threats.

A Vistara spokesperson said, “We confirm that some Vistara flights scheduled to operate on October 21, 2024 have received security threats on social media. We have immediately alerted the relevant authorities and are following all safety procedures advised by them. At Vistara, the safety of our customers, crew and aircraft is of paramount importance.”

Air India also received threat

At the same time, an Air India spokesperson also confirmed that some Air India flights flying on Monday had received threats. Following the laid down protocol, the concerned authorities were immediately alerted and all safety procedures were strictly followed as per the guidance of regulatory authorities and security agencies.

Bomb threat is a rumour, but cannot be taken lightly – Minister

In the last one week, more than 120 flights of Indian airlines have received bomb threats. Civil Aviation Minister K Rammohan Naidu had said on Monday that the bomb threats are rumours, but they cannot be taken lightly. Meanwhile, the government is planning legislative action to tackle bomb threats to airlines, including placing perpetrators on no-fly lists.
