Train Accident: Mysore-Darbhanga Bagmati Express became victim of an accident in Tiruvallur, Tamil Nadu. 19 people were injured in this accident. The condition of three passengers is critical and they are undergoing treatment in the ICU. According to the information, the reason for this accident is that the train went to the loop line instead of the main line. According to the information, when this train met with the accident, its speed was about 75 km per hour. Instead of going to the main line, this train went to the loop line.

19 passengers injured in the accident

There was an outcry at the spot after the Bagmati Express collided with a goods train. 19 passengers were injured in the accident. A compartment of the train also caught fire. As soon as the news of the accident was received, relief and rescue work was started on the spot. In Delhi, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav himself reached the war room and started monitoring the relief and rescue. On the other hand, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin has expressed grief over the incident. He said that the government is carrying out rapid relief and rescue operations.

The accident happened at 8:27 pm

The Railway Board has said that no passenger has been reported killed in the collision between an express train and a goods train in the Ponneri-Kavarapettai section of Chennai Railway Division. Train No. 12578 Mysuru Dibrugarh Darbhanga Bagmati Express with LHB coaches was given green signal to proceed after crossing Ponneri station in Tiruvallur district at 8.27 pm on October 11, Southern Railways said in a press release. “While entering Kavarapettai station, the train crew received a sharp jolt and instead of moving into the main line, the train entered the loopline and collided with a goods train parked there.

In this accident, the train crew is safe and a fire broke out in a compartment, which was extinguished by fire engines. Railways said that the movement of trains has been stopped in the affected part of the railway route. Railways is trying to normalize rail operations on the affected route as soon as possible.
