According to the report, the woman fell in love with a Japanese man years ago, but the love did not last long. After this, she trapped Japanese men one after the other in her love trap and defrauded them of crores. Police say that this case came to light when a Japanese man complained of being cheated. When the investigation of the case started, a shocking revelation came to light. The woman has been arrested from Bangkok.
According to the South China Morning Post (SCMP), Thai police launched an investigation after a Japanese man visiting Thailand reported that a transgender woman named Amy had swindled 15 million Thai Baht from him. Police revealed that she pretended to be a tourist in Thailand and lied and tricked men to gain their sympathy. She also confessed that she did all this to take revenge on the Japanese men.
Transgender woman used to trap people in the web of love
During the investigation, police found that the 36-year-old Japanese man met the woman in Thailand in January. She told him her name was “Amy”. According to SCMP, she introduced herself as a tourist from Hong Kong who had lost her passport and wallet, and borrowed money from him to pay for the hotel. Gradually, their friendship turned into love. He then lent Amy money for insurance and health expenses, but she never returned it. Police said that the accused also bought gold for the victim by deceiving him, which she converted into cash and then disappeared.

On August 4, police arrested transgender woman Uthai Nantakhan in Bangkok. Police said she pretended to be a tourist and lied to men to gain sympathy. She would claim she had lost her purse and needed money to renew her passport or pretend to be infected with Covid to get cash for treatment. She also lured men to invest in fake businesses, later claiming the schemes had failed and their investment money had been siphoned.
I was cheated in love
Police found that all the victims of the accused were Japanese nationals. She told the police that her Japanese boyfriend had abandoned her years ago and this pain and suffering had pushed her into the world of crime. She says, “When I was in college, my Japanese boyfriend left me during a trip and left me to pay all the bills. I was heartbroken. I was also cheated of money by another Japanese man whom I had dated before, so I hate the Japanese a lot and want to take revenge on Japanese men.”
During the investigation, the police found that the woman had defrauded 73 Japanese men of about Rs 7.35 crore between 2011 and 2024. If she is found guilty, she can be jailed for up to three years.
