Major action has been taken in the case of two prisoners escaping from Haridwar jail. After negligence came to light, six people including the jailer and superintendent in charge have been suspended from the jail headquarters. Senior Jail Superintendent Manoj Kumar Arya has not come under the scanner of action as he is on leave. At the same time, Haridwar Police is also busy searching for the absconding prisoners and is conducting raids till UP. SSP Pramendra Singh Dobal has formed 10 teams and also formed an SIT under the leadership of SIDCUL police station in-charge. The supervision of SIT has been handed over to SP City. Police are raiding the houses and possible hideouts of absconding prisoners. Police claim that the absconding prisoners will be found as soon as possible.
SSP Pramendra Singh Dobal held a meeting with other officers on the matter and prepared a strategy to nab the prisoners. He said that action has been taken against six policemen in this case and 10 teams have been formed to arrest the prisoners.
Incident happened in jail’s Ramlila
Ramlila was organized on the occasion of Dussehra in the jail of Haridwar district. In this Ramlila, two prisoners were playing the role of monkeys. Both were jumping and all the spectators were enjoying it. However, both of them escaped by jumping and jumping over the jail wall. Both of them had set out to search for Mother Sita, but in the meantime they themselves ran away. When the search for both of them was started, it was found that both the prisoners had escaped by jumping over the jail wall.

SSP told that yesterday a Ramlila program was going on in the evening. Taking advantage of the fact that there was a ladder lying at the construction site, these two prisoners left from here at night by placing the same ladder on the wall. One of these prisoners, Pankaj, is previously convicted under section 302, he is a convicted prisoner in a murder case in Mangalore. The second prisoner is Ramkumar, who is currently under trial, he was caught in a kidnapping case.
