New Delhi. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has emphasized on the promotion of Artificial Intelligence in India in the 2023 General Budget in the Lok Sabha. For this, the Government of India has made a budgetary announcement to set up three new Centers of Excellence in the next year’s budget.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that three Centers of Excellence will be set up in the country to give India an edge in Artificial Intelligence (AI). Its objective is to provide world-class education facilities to the youth of the country in the field of AI.

The Finance Minister said that India cannot afford to lag behind on the parameters of the modern era. The Finance Minister also said in his budget speech that 157 new nursing colleges will also be established along with the existing 157 medical colleges established since 2014.

While presenting the budget, he said that PM Narendra Modi’s government has taken up the task of changing the conditions of the artisans who have been engaged in production for thousands of years with the help of their manual skills. Nirmala Sitharaman said that with the help of favorable government policies, these skilled artisans can take their products to big markets. He said that for the first time a package has been announced under the PM Vishwakarma Kaushal Vikas Yojana to help artisans who have been doing manual work for centuries.
