Lucknow: The troubles of senior IAS officer Amit Mohan Prasad of Uttar Pradesh have started increasing. An inquiry has been set up against him by the Prime Minister’s Office. Action has been written against ACS Amit Mohan Prasad of UP. This action has taken place after a complaint made against ACS Prasad to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Amit Mohan Prasad is a senior officer of Uttar Pradesh. Amit Mohan Prasad, a 1989 batch IAS officer, has been given the responsibility of Additional Chief Secretary in the Health Department. Now after the order of inquiry against him, the letter of Deputy CM Brijesh Pathak has come into the limelight. Deputy CM Brijesh Pathak had also opened a front against him. The dispute between the Minister and the Additional Chief Secretary in the Health Department has been in discussion for a long time.

Amit Mohan Prasad is working as Additional Chief Secretary, Health Department in the Government of UP. The influence of ACS Prasad is huge. In such a situation, even after the letter of Deputy CM Brijesh Pathak became public, no action could be taken against him. Brijesh Pathak had been targeting ACS Prasad for the last one year. During the Corona peak last year, Brijesh Pathak had raised questions regarding the arrangements in Lucknow. Recently, ACS Prasad and Brijesh Pathak had come face to face after the transfers in the health departments. The Deputy CM was constantly raising questions. Due to this, pressure was also being created on the UP government to take action. After the complaint is lodged with the Prime Minister, now it is believed that action will be taken.

Complaint made by private company
A letter was written to the PM on behalf of the private company demanding action. The agency performing various functions at the health department’s hospitals and community health centers has complained. ACS Prasad has been accused of not getting paid for the works done at his level. There has also been an allegation of malpractices in transfer-posting. In fact, Mahesh Chandra Srivastava of R Cube Group of Companies had written a letter to the Prime Minister’s Office on June 27 and complained. The Company has undertaken the installation and maintenance of Central Gas Pipeline System in the District Hospitals of Gorakhpur, Gonda, Ballia and Prayagraj for five years.

The company claims that other works including modular OT were done in Lucknow’s Civil Hospital, Bhaurao Deoras Joint Hospital, Mahanagar Lucknow. Fire fighting work has also been done at Community Health Centers in Lucknow, Agra, Varanasi, Kanpur Nagar, Meerut and Prayagraj and Rani Laxmibai Joint Hospital in Lucknow. Apart from this, the work done on various CHCs has also been cited. The company has directly complained to the Additional Chief Secretary for non-payment.

Notice also at the level of Lokayukta
Lokayukta has also issued notice against ACS Amit Mohan Prasad. In the notice issued by Lokayukta, questions have been asked in matters related to Medical Supplies Corporation. Additional Chief Secretary Amit Mohan Prasad has been denying such cases. They have been saying that they have no knowledge of these matters. After the letter of Brajesh Pathak, the matter has become very popular. After the letter was leaked to the media, it was believed that this was the result of a tussle between the minister and the ACS.
