Prayagraj. A sensational case of possession of enemy property has come to light in Soraon tehsil of Sangam city Prayagraj. On the occasion of Sampoorna Samadhan Diwas organized in Soraon tehsil, an employee of the tehsil and an advocate have complained about this to the commissioner Prayagraj. He has said in the oral complaint that 35 bighas of enemy property is being sold in Soraon tehsil. The complainant has claimed that the documents of this land are also with him.

On this complaint, Commissioner Vijay Vishwas Pant has also asked for documents from the Lekhpal. According to Commissioner Prayagraj Vijay Vishwas Pant, such information is being received that documents of enemy property have been burnt in Mauaima Town area. But, on the basis of 70 years old records, the commissioner has said to conduct an inquiry in this matter.

First let us tell you what is enemy property. Enemy property is the property when people who left their property in India and went to Pakistan after the partition of the country. It was later declared enemy property by the government. After this the government enacted the Enemy Property Act in 1967 and the custodian of such lands was made the state government. But, over time a large number of land mafia captured enemy properties.

In the 1983 riots in Mauaima, all the documents of revenue were burnt. In such a situation, even the documents of enemy property are not left. It is alleged that with the connivance of the then revenue personnel, about 35 bighas of land whose value is being told in crores. Dabang mafias have registered their names. Recently, when CM Yogi Adityanath’s statement came on enemy property, then DM Sanjay Kumar Khatri had asked the accountants to collect information about it.

Due to burning of documents in Mauaima town area, land reconciliation was started on the basis of crop year 1359. After talking to some elderly people of the area, it came to know that about 35 bighas of land have been occupied by the land mafia. In this whole case, the name of a particular gang is coming out which is pressurizing the people to get the name removed from the land.

If sources are to be believed, more than 500 bighas of land has been occupied in 8 tehsils of the district. on which the encroachment is to be removed. Commissioner Prayagraj Vijay Vishwas Pant has sought a written complaint from the complainant. He has said that after getting the written complaint, appropriate action will be taken after investigation in this case.
