Stop Non Hindus in Garba Dance: Now a new suggestion has come on the issue of stopping the entry of non-Hindus in Garba events. An organization has said that only those who worship Varaha should be allowed to enter the Garba event.
Now a new suggestion has come forward on the issue of stopping the entry of non-Hindus in Garba events in Madhya Pradesh. A local right-wing Hindu organization on Tuesday demanded that Garba organizers should allow entry only to those who worship Varaha, the third incarnation of Lord Vishnu, to prevent people from other communities from attending the event. Let us tell you that Navratri festivals are going to start from October 3, even before that the atmosphere has started creating for Garba events.
Chandrashekhar Tiwari, head of ‘Sanskriti Bachao Manch’ here in the city, said on Tuesday that Garba organizers should allow anyone to enter the pandal only after worshiping ‘Varaha’, PTI reported. A picture of Varaha should be placed at the entrance of Garba pandals. Every participant should be given ‘Panch-Gavya’, which consists of cow urine, dung, milk, curd and ghee.
Chandrashekhar Tiwari, head of ‘Sanskriti Bachao Manch’, said that these conditions will prove helpful in keeping members of other communities away from Garba events. Especially for those who consider Varaha incarnation as impure. Only people who believe in Sanatan Dharma will be ready to take ‘Panch-Gavya’. The Hindu community has very deep faith in ‘Varaha Avatar’ described in mythology. In this the head of God is depicted in the form of a boar.
Just a day ago, a BJP leader in Indore, Madhya Pradesh had demanded that drinking cow urine should be made mandatory for those participating in Garba events during the Navratri festival. Indore District BJP President (Rural) Chintu Verma had suggested that Garba organizers should allow entry only to those people who bathe in cow urine. He had said that often such people participate in Garba events due to which disputes arise.
