Veer Savarkar Controversy: Savarkar’s grandson warns Gandhi family, said- Rahul Gandhi should show proof, apologise, otherwise I will file FIR

New Delhi. The controversy over Rahul Gandhi’s recent comment on Vinayak Damodar Savarkar does not seem to stop. After such remarks, now the grandson of Hindutva thinker Ranjit Savarkar has also expressed his feelings and warned him. He said that if Rahul Gandhi does not apologize for his statement on Veer Savarkar, then he will get an FIR lodged against him. Ranjit Savarkar said on Tuesday that some Congressmen are also not happy with the defamation of Veer Savarkar.

Savarkar’s grandson Ranjit has warned the Gandhi family that if Rahul Gandhi does not apologize for his statement on Savarkar, he will file an FIR against him. While talking to CNN-News18, he challenged Rahul Gandhi to show him the documents apologizing to Savarkar.

Ranjit Savarkar said that the Congress party is doing this to get the votes of the Muslims. He said that I have already filed a criminal defamation case against both Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi in a local court in Maharashtra.

He said that by opposing Savarkar ji, he would feel that there would be opposition to the BJP. In Maharashtra also, experiments are being done in the name of Savarkar ji’s politics. It is really sad to see how Savarkar’s name is being maligned for politics by Rahul Gandhi. Looks like they are polarizing Muslims too. In Maharashtra too, politics is being done in the name of Savarkar. I request you not to use Savarkar’s name for your own benefit.

Ranjit said, ‘Sanjay Raut and Uddhav Thackeray may have respect for Savarkar. But unless they show their support for Savarkar, it doesn’t mean anything. The Congress did not stop even after giving the ultimatum and they (Uddhav Thackeray faction) have not yet separated the Congress.

He said that Sharad Pawar had given a very good speech on Savarkar ji which is now available on YouTube. Personal relations have become a matter of household. He should apologize to Rahul Gandhi and apologize for the repeated insults he has done.
