New Delhi: Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party (JKAP) vice president Choudhary Zulfikar Ali met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi. Many political meanings of this meeting have also started being drawn. It is believed that Choudhary Zulfikar Ali may join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) before the assembly elections to be held in the Union Territory next month.

BJP will get big benefit

A BJP leader said that Choudhary Zulfiqar Ali met the Home Minister in Delhi and discussed with him several issues related to Jammu and Kashmir, including the assembly elections. The leader said that he has expressed his desire to join the BJP. He said that his joining the BJP before the elections will be a big advantage for the party, which wants to form the government on its own in the Union Territory.

How has been Zulfiqar’s political journey

Let us tell you that Chaudhary Zulfiqar Ali, a lawyer by profession, won the 2008 and 2014 assembly elections from Darhal assembly constituency of Rajouri district on a People’s Democratic Party (PDP) ticket. After this, several PDP leaders led by former minister Altaf Bukhari founded their own party in 2020 and Ali was one of its founding members.
