Belagavi. The ongoing border dispute between Karnataka and Maharashtra took a violent turn on Tuesday. Workers of Rakshan Vedike protested fiercely at Heere Bagewadi in Belagavi, Karnataka. Stones were pelted at the trucks of Maharashtra. The police team reached the spot to pacify the crowd. While taking action, the police have detained many protesting workers.
Here, due to Rakshan Vedike’s protest and apprehension of tension, two ministers of Maharashtra have canceled their Belagavi tour. Meanwhile, Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai made a big statement regarding the whole controversy. He said that the interests of the state and the public will be fully protected.
