Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has surprised everyone by announcing his resignation in two days. Addressing the workers, he said that I will not sit on the CM’s chair until the public does justice to me. If the public feels that I am honest, then vote for me. Along with this, he also told the reason for not resigning from jail. The AAP convenor said that I did not resign to save democracy. I wanted to break their (BJP) formula.

Addressing the workers, Kejriwal said, ‘Why did these people send me to jail? It is not because I have done any corruption. You and these people know this. Their aim was to break the Aam Aadmi Party. Their aim was to break Kejriwal’s courage and determination. They have made a formula. Break the MLAs, buy MLAs, scare them by sending ED-CBI, break the party, topple the party and form their own government. They thought that by sending Kejriwal to jail and breaking the party, they will form their own government in Delhi. But our party did not break. Even our workers did not break.’

The AAP leader further said, ‘These people ask why Kejriwal did not resign when he was in jail. Why did he remain on the post of CM even in jail. I did not resign because I wanted to save the democracy of this country. They have made so many formulas – break the MLAs, break the parties, buy the MLAs, scare them. Now they have made a new formula that wherever they lose the elections, file a fake case against the Chief Minister of that place and arrest him and put him in jail. Recently, the Supreme Court has asked the central government why the government cannot run from jail. That is, the government can run from jail. I want to request all the non-BJP CMs of the country with folded hands that if the Prime Minister files a fake case against you and puts you in jail, then do not resign.’
