The case of rape and murder of a trainee doctor in Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College and Hospital is hot. Protests are being held across the country against this incident. The strike of junior doctors of government hospitals in West Bengal, who are protesting for justice, continued on Sunday as well, due to which health services were affected for the 10th consecutive day in the state. It is known that the body of the lady doctor was found inside the seminar hall of the hospital on August 9. An accused was arrested the very next day in this case. The protesters demand that the entire case be thoroughly investigated as soon as possible and the culprits should be given severe punishment.
Meanwhile, the victim’s colleagues have made some shocking claims about the incident. According to a Times of India report, a colleague said that punishment postings and long shifts were common in this government hospital. It was also claimed that the victim may have got information about the ‘medicine racket’, which she wanted to expose. It is possible that she was murdered to suppress her voice. A colleague said, ‘We suspect that this is not a simple case of rape and murder. She has been targeted. How did the civic volunteer know that she was alone in the seminar hall at that time?’
‘The victim knew about something that…’
According to the report, another colleague claims that the victim must have known a lot about something that she should not have known? There is a possibility that a drug siphoning racket may have been going on in her department which she wanted to expose. After the death of the trainee doctor, her parents have also expressed similar apprehensions. They told the police that she had complained about the heavy work pressure. Many colleagues said that making her work for long hours as punishment had become the SOP of this institute. It was strictly monitored by former principal Sandeep Ghosh himself. Let us tell you that CBI officials are collecting information about Sandeep Ghosh’s call details and chats. An officer said that Ghosh appeared before CBI officials for the third consecutive day on Sunday. He has been asked to provide information about the phone calls made before and after the incident in the hospital.
