The pager blast incident in Lebanon is making headlines all over the world. The strings of this incident are seen to be connected to many countries of the world. Now a 49-year-old foreign woman is also seen at the center of this incident. This woman belongs to Italy and Hungary. The name of this woman is Christiana Barsoni. She is the CEO of BAC Consulting in Budapest. Christiana’s company has connections with the Taiwanese firm Gold Apollo, whose name was used in the pagers that were used for the blast in Lebanon.
Now for the last few days, Kristiana has been receiving anonymous threats. After this, Hungary’s secret service agencies have forbidden her from talking to the media. Kristiana’s mother has given this information to the media. Her mother said that my daughter’s pager has nothing to do with the blast. She said that these pagers do not go through Budapest, nor are they made in Hungary. The Hungarian government also made a similar claim earlier this week.
Cristiana was born in Sicily and grew up in Catania, where her father was a working woman and her mother a housewife. She attended a local school and was a quiet girl in those days. Cristiana’s academic achievements are impressive, though. She earned a PhD in particle physics from University College London in the early 2000s. She did not pursue a scientific career, though. According to Akos Torok, one of her professors at UCL, she has not done any scientific work since then.
Barsoni-Arcidiacono’s private life is also very interesting. She owns an apartment in Budapest that features her pastel drawings. A neighbor who has lived in the building for the past two years described her as kind and friendly. Since the pager attacks, Barsoni-Arcidiacono has not been seen in public. Neighbors have also confirmed this.
The Hungarian government has said that BAC Consulting was a ‘trading-intermediary company’ with no manufacturing site in the country. In addition, Páez never visited Hungary. However, Barsoni-Arcidiacono’s role in the dispute is unclear, and she has not made any public statements since the attacks.
