Water crisis worsens in Bengaluru, order issued regarding swimming pool – India TV Hindi

Water crisis is becoming acute in Karnataka’s capital Bengaluru. People here are facing the problem of lack of clean drinking water. All efforts are being made by the Karnataka government in this regard. In view of the water crisis in the city, the Water Supply and Sewerage Board has banned non-essential use of drinking water. The Board has issued an order in public interest under Sections 33 and 34 of the Bengaluru Water Supply and Sewerage Act 1964.

According to Sections 33 and 34 of the Bengaluru Water Supply and Sewerage Act- 1964, the use of potable water for swimming pools has been banned in Bengaluru city. A fine of Rs 500 will be imposed for violation of this order. A fine of Rs 5000 and an additional penalty of Rs 500 per day will be imposed on repetition of this violation. Also, a complaint will be lodged against the owner of the swimming pool in the concerned police station and a fine will be collected.

Permission for malls and cinema halls

According to the order, if anyone is found violating the above prohibitions, the public can immediately inform the Bengaluru Water Supply and Sewerage Board’s call center number: 1916. Let us tell you that permission has been given to use drinking water only in malls and cinema halls. The board said that it has been made necessary for people to use drinking water in moderation.
