Weather News: Winter will increase in North India; Warning of rain with stormy wind in these states; Read IMD’s alert

New Delhi: The cold has completely knocked in most areas of North India and due to snowfall on the mountains, the chill has started increasing in the plains as well. From Delhi-NCR, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh to Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, the suffering of winter is increasing day by day. Not only is there a drop in the minimum temperature in these areas, but the fog is also gradually becoming denser in the morning and evening. At the same time, the rainy season continues in the states of South India. The possibility of rain has been expressed in some areas of South India including Tamil Nadu-Kerala even today. The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of further drop in temperature in the next two-three days.

According to the Meteorological Department, it will rain in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Lakshadweep and Karnataka for the next 4-5 days. Not only this, there is a possibility of heavy rains in Tamil Nadu on 3 December. A cyclonic circulation is likely to emerge over South Andaman Sea around 4 December 2022. Under its influence, a low pressure area may form over southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining south Andaman Sea around December 5. It is very likely to move west-northwestwards and concentrate. During the next 48 hours, a depression will form over southeast Bay of Bengal. Thereafter, it is very likely to move west-northwestwards and reach near Tamil Nadu-Puducherry coasts on 8 December.

The Meteorological Department said that on December 4 and 5, the wind speed will increase due to stormy weather in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands and the Bay of Bengal. During this, the wind speed can be between 45 to 55 kmph. At the same time, regarding the cold, the Meteorological Department has told that there is no possibility of any significant change in the minimum temperature in the northern parts of the country during the next 5 days. During this, there is a possibility of an increase of 2-3 degree Celsius in the minimum temperature in Maharashtra. There is a possibility of dense fog in different parts of Himachal Pradesh and Punjab during the next 3 days.

Where can it rain today
According to the weather information website Skymet Weather, light to moderate rain is possible in Andaman and Nicobar Islands today. Light rain may occur over Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Not only this, light rains may also occur over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and upper reaches of Jammu and Kashmir.
