New Delhi. Due to a fresh Western Disturbance, there may be light to moderate snowfall in the Western Himalayan region. Due to this, there will be an increase of 2-3 degree Celsius in the temperature in North-West India in the next 48 hours. IMD scientist Naresh Kumar said that there is no possibility of cold wave in Delhi and surrounding areas for the next 5-6 days. Earlier on Tuesday, a blanket of haze was seen in Delhi in the morning. Due to this the visibility in Delhi-NCR has reduced. According to the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting and Research (SAFAR), the Air Quality Index (AQI) at Delhi airport was 180.
Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted the minimum temperature to be around 9 degree Celsius and the maximum around 22 degree Celsius during the day. A day earlier, the maximum temperature in Delhi was 18.9 degrees. Along with this, the Meteorological Department has predicted strong winds. In view of the fog in the morning, the officials at Indira Gandhi International Airport had issued a fog alert for the passengers. The airport requested passengers to contact their respective airlines for the latest flight updates.
