New Delhi. There is a possibility of a new round of widespread rain and thunderstorm in northwest India on 30 and 31 March. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), there is a possibility of hailstorm again in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and West Uttar Pradesh on March 30 and 31 and in Rajasthan on March 30. However, due to the incessant rains in March, March this year in Delhi was cooler than in the last two years. There is a possibility of more rain in Delhi in the last 2 days of March.

IMD said that by the end of March, the maximum temperature in Delhi may remain in the range of 30 degree Celsius. Today there will definitely be light clouds in Delhi but there will be no rain. According to the weather, a Western Disturbance is present in the form of a Cyclonic Circulation over Jammu and neighborhood in the middle tropospheric levels. While in the lower tropospheric levels, a Trough is running from Central Chhattisgarh to South Tamil Nadu and another trough is running from Bihar to North Odisha. A fresh Western Disturbance is likely to affect Northwest India from the night of 29th March.

According to IMD, there is a possibility of hailstorm in parts of Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha and Madhya Pradesh on March 30. Scattered to widespread rain and thunderstorms are likely over Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, West Bengal and Sikkim on March 30 and 31. Scattered to fairly widespread light to moderate rain with thunder, lightning and gusty winds very likely over Northeast India today. There is also a possibility of heavy rains at many places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya from March 31.
