What did the Congress minister say on mosque and love jihad in Himachal assembly that BJP MLAs clapped

The issue of the mosque built in Sanjauli in Himachal Pradesh’s capital Shimla is getting heated. On Wednesday, Sukhu government’s Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Anirudh Singh said something on mosque and love jihad in the assembly that made the BJP MLAs start clapping. Anirudh Singh has raised questions on the administration regarding the construction of the mosque. He said, ‘Was permission taken from the administration to build the mosque?’

Where was the administration sleeping: Anirudh Singh

Sukhu government minister said, ‘I am not against any community. But they started work in 2010 without permission. After this, illegal construction of 2500 square feet was done. A hearing was held on it in 2012. Even after that these people did not agree. Illegal construction continued. By the year 2019, four additional floors had been illegally constructed. When the case was going on in 2010, how did the four-storey building get built by 2019? Where was the administration sleeping?’

It is difficult for women to walk in Sanjauli: Anirudh Singh

Congress leader Aniruddh Singh further said, ‘There is another surprising thing… the land (mosque) belongs to the Himachal Pradesh government. Our government is not against anyone. But I would request the Chief Minister to find out where all those involved in this are from. Today it has become difficult for women to walk in Sanjauli market. Such comments are passed. I am a personal witness to this.’

Told about love jihad as a threat

Anirudh Singh further said, Love Jihad is also a matter to pay attention to. It is very dangerous for our country and state. Violence is happening. Did our local people start the violence? This should also be found out. I demand from the Chief Minister that whoever comes to Himachal for work should be verified. The hearing (in the mosque case) is on 7 September. I also tell the administration… 14 years have passed. So far 44 hearings have been held. They do not even know whose land it is? How can a map be passed on government land? If it belongs to the occupier, then first of all the map should be cancelled. Action should be taken against illegal construction.’ During this, Minister Vikramaditya Singh, sitting next to Anirudh Singh, was seen smiling.
